Triathlon Tip #27 – Last Minute Prep

    - by Nick Seitz

Make sure to check all your equipment in the week before the event. I would suggest taking your bike into a bike shop to get a tune up and make sure everything is working properly. Plan out what you will wear, what you will eat, and who you will call to celebrate when you finish (haha). Planning is the key to success!

    Race Results 9/23-24

    - by Nick Seitz

At the Giant Acorn Triathlon, Coach Erin Horil took 2nd overall in the international on Saturday and then followed this with an overall win the next day in the sprint. Also, in the sprint EF junior Abby Church followed Erin to take 2nd overall and Florence Lamirand 6th overall while Emme Cate Heilbrun and Anderson Church both took 1st place in their age groups. Also, we want to congratulate Kenneth Steingold on his first sprint distance – you have come so far this season! In the international, Bill Deaton took 1st, Ale Stankaitis 2nd, Scott Evans 3rd, and Dawn Carter 3rd (after a mechanical on the bike) in their age groups while a ton of other EF athletes had super strong races setting new PRs including Matt Myers, Monica Woodward, Mary Jane Willis, and Lori Green.
