Race Day Mindset
-In endurance sports, we invest a lot in one day. We invest time, money, and a ton of hard work to make sure one day (often a fraction of a day) goes extremely well. This structure can place a lot of pressure on race day, which is the exact thing that sabotages all the investment.

The Turning Point
-The athletic life is less about a single turning point than a series of turning points which combine to bring us to where we are today. Each workout is an opportunity to embrace another turning point. The special thing is that once you cross a threshold, you always know you can go there again, and because of that, it is easier to do so.

Appreciating Fitness
-I spent the last week with my oldest son in Haiti. Many years ago, I made a commitment to take each of my kids on a mission trip when they turned ten. We Are Coaches
-I am a coach. I believe God gifted me with specific talents and this purpose in mind: to coach. I was meant to guide, to educate, to support, and to inspire. Luckily, I was also given a passion through which I can use my talents. Triathlon is my passion, but I am a coach first. Coaching supersedes the sport in which we coach…coaching impacts lives. At the heart, I am a coach with a mission to transform lives and triathlon is my vehicle by which to do this.
