When Tim Brown first walked into the Endorphin Fitness shop in 2012, we knew he belonged here due to his amazing attitude and perspective on life. Once we learned his story, this became even more true. Tim became active after years of being overweight and eventually found triathlon through this. Since then, Tim has had some amazing accomplishments during his time with EF breaking the 5-hour markat the Half-Iron distance in 2014 and then making his debut at the Ironman distance with an impressive 10:37 time. 2016 has been a breakthrough year for Tim. He’s lowered his personal best for the Half-Iron distance twice, most recently at Ironman 70.3 Ohio in August. At that race, Tim lowered his personal best to 4:44 and placed 5th in the very competitive 45-49 age group. That performance earned Tim a slot for the 2017 Ironman 70.3 World Championships.
Additionally, Tim and his wife Gretchen have been valuable members of the EF community over the past several years, graciously volunteering their time at the East Coast Triathlon Festival and countless other team events. Congratulations to Tim on a great year! Follow him as he wraps up his season at Ironman Maryland in October.
