ENDURANCE COACH
Kate Fisher has coached many athletes through their first triathlons, seasoned athletes to new personal records, and cyclists to successful completion of 100 mile endurance mountain bike races. With experience coaching both road and off-road triathlon and cycling, Kate brings a unique skill set to her coaching. From training plans, to swim, bike, run technique analysis, to pure motivation, Kate’s passion is helping others to get started or achieve their full potential and her track record speaks volumes.
Kate has been competing in triathlon/duathlon since 2005 and has raced triathlon distances from sprint to half ironman and all running distances from 5k to marathon. She has won her age group title in the Virginia Triathlon Series in 2012 and 2014 and placed 2nd in 2013. She received honorable mention for Inside Triathlon Magazine’s All American picks for duathlon in 2006. In addition to numerous overall women podium finishes, Kate has qualified for ITU Age Group World Championships in both triathlon and duathlon. In the off-season, Kate enjoys mountain biking and cyclocross racing. Triathlon is a lifestyle for Kate and her family – you will often see her with her husband and two children at the races.
