Congratulations to this week’s athlete of the week, Abby Church. Abby has come a long way in her year and a half with Endorphin Fitness. After one of her first races of 2016, she broke down because she was unhappy with her bike handling skills. She clearly had the ability but was not comfortable on the bike. She focused her first several weeks on handling and cornering. As she improved she gained confidence, and with confidence came success. Only 2 months after joining Endorphin Fitness, she raced the Richmond Elite Cup having worked hard on her bike handling skills and qualified for Nationals which was a big challenge in 2016! Now on to 2017 where she has come even further. Abby attends almost every single practice and pushes herself day in and day out. In addition, she has challenged each of her teammates to be the best they can be. Not only has her bike improved, but her run off the bike is lights out! This past weekend at the Pleasant Prairie Youth Elite Cup, she posted the fastest run split for the Youth Elite Females and ran herself from 14th off the bike to a 2nd place podium finish. This is a huge break through for her and shows the tremendous potential that she possesses! She is seeing the hard work pay off and will continue to see success throughout her career! Congrats on a phenomenal performance Abby.
