Kaitlyn Bauer began swimming competitively at the age of six and has been deeply passionate about the sport ever since. Over the years, she has achieved notable success in both pool and open-water events, excelling at the local level, the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) level, and the national stage as a member of the Lynchburg YMCA Swim Team. Currently, Kaitlyn competes as part of the University of Richmond’s Spider Swim and Dive Team, where she makes valuable contributions in dual and conference meets, specializing in distance freestyle and butterfly events.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Kaitlyn has been a dedicated swim instructor and coach for the past three years. She has worked with swimmers of all ages and skill levels, focusing on technique development and fostering confidence in the water. Under her guidance, the Peakland Otter Swim Team has enjoyed consistent success, achieving strong performances at championship meets year after year. Kaitlyn’s coaching reflects her commitment to helping swimmers reach their full potential both in and out of the pool.
