We have an incredible weekend of racing to report on this week. Races include Clermont Draft Legal Challenge, Stokesville 40k mountain bike race, Power of Four Skimo Race, Ironman New Zealand, the Azaela Super Sprint and numerous swim meets.
Strong races for several EF athletes at the Clermont Draft Legal Challenge. On Saturday, Coach Erin Horil took 16th overall and Jessica Blazek took 25th. On Sunday, Megan Buchanan opened up the day with a 3rd overall place finish in the F1 Youth race. In the boy’s F1 race, Nick Pilgrim took 2nd overall followed by Caleb Ingham in 13th. On day 2 of the Elite Development Race, Coach Erin improved on Saturday’s result to take 9th overall. In the age group race, Matt Schiller placed 4th overall male and Christian Locke finished his first Draft Legal Triathlon claiming 6th for his age group.
Big congrats to Katie Elliot who took 2nd overall with her teammate in the super tough Power of Four Skimo Race with a huge PR of 7:26!
Big PRs for several EF athletes in swim meets this weekend. Parker Albright set a PR in the mile and 500, Kieran Haug in the 50, and Alexandra Poole in the 500.
Jim Fisher had impressive race taking 1st overall at the Stokesville 40k mountain bike race. Karl Lipscomb and Sandrine Thominet also had great races there as well.
Blake Krongaard competed in the Azaela Super Sprint in North Carolina and grabbed third place in her age group! This was a fantastic precursor to her race season which will be starting soon!
