In the Rev 3 Williamsburg sprint race, Matt Schiller took First place overall with a well executed plan allowing him to achieve all three of his goals for the race. James Crabb took second place overall and was first out of the water! Katie Elliott took 4th overall and 1st in her age group. Marisa Ruotolo took 1st in her age group, and Kenny Steingold won his as well! Cheryl Shaw and Ben Shaw both took 2nd in their age groups, and Coach Anne and Connor Doyle took 3rd in theirs. Jenna Free took 5th in her age group, executing an awesome race and bouncing back from some hard weeks. Mary Jane Willis had a strong race and PR’d her run leg!
In the Olympic distance at the same race, Lee White took 2nd in his age group, Mark Dupuis, Matt Cramer and Jack Martin took third in their age groups, Jessica Small and Christy Murrell took fourth in theirs. Matt Myers set a new PR. Lori Green, Alberta Williams, Monica Woodward, Myles Baker, Maggie Geoghegan, Dennis Kao, David Knicely, Meredith Newcomb, and Caitlin Weston all had awesome races and finished strong.
In the 70.3 race in Williamsburg, Allan Ng had a strong race throughout. Alex Lienert set a new personal best, finishing at 4:58. Karl Lipscomb finished and beat his PR over last year! Jay Bekenstoffer completed the race in a time of 6:04 and achieved his goal swim time despite challenging conditions. Sandrine Thominet also had a strong race.
Katie Elliott took 2nd and coach Kate Fisher took 3rd overall in the aquabike half!
The relay team of Kelly Britt, Jill Tarr, and Dawn Carter had a strong race in the relay division. Lenora Mariner completed on the bike leg of the half-ironman relay and beat her goal of going sub-3 hours.
At the first race of the Cul de Sac 5k series, Monica Woodward and Sarah Look posted very respectable times even in the heat!
At the Duathlon World Championships, Kathy Scourby placed an amazing 6th in her age group! Congrats Kathy!! Sadè Smith took 9th in her AG as well at the same race. Congrats!
At the Diamond in the Rough Olympic triathlon, Jean Kleitz took 2nd overall women’s! Way to go Jean!
