We have three races to report on this week: the Youth Olympic Games qualifier in Ecuador, the Connecticut Open Water State Championship, and the Avalon Splash and Dash race! Let’s get started.
Parker Albright and Abby Church traveled with Team USA to Salinas, Ecuador for the Youth Olympic Games Qualifier – both had to qualify for this event and it included athletes from North America, South America, and Canada. Coach Michael was one of the team coaches selected to guide Team USA. Parker executed the perfect race winning overall and earning the only US spot to the Youth Olympic Games. Alexandra Poole competed in the Connecticut Open Water State Championships and had a strong race.
EF athletes performed great in the 2nd stop on the RVA Splash & Dash Series at Avalon. Congrats to Ellie Harlow, Andrea Rogerson, and Patrick Harlow for winning their age group; Hadley Harlow, Emory Allen, Anneliese Rogerson, and Theo Conradie on taking 2nd; and Caleb Harlow and Annika Rogerson for taking 3rd.
