We have a ton of races to report on this week, including the Des Moines Junior Elite race, the Rev3 Sizzling Tri, and several others! Congrats to all our athletes who pushed through the heat and raced hard. Let’s get started!
At the Des Moines Junior Elite race, the EF High Performance Team had a great showing. In the Youth Elite Girls race, Hope Frost lead the way with a 3rd place podium followed by Samantha Kayne 21st, Emme Cate Heilbrun 30th, Mikaela Garza 31st, Annalise Williams 48th, Caroline Osenga 55th. In the Junior Elite Female race. Abby Church ran her way to 7th followed by Zoe Van Winckel 12th, Hannah Ye 18th, Chloe Ramirez 19th, Jennifer Zheng 27th, Grace Sheehy 35th, Marisa Ruotolo 57th, Keagan Carroll 61st, and Sarah Ruotolo 68th. In the Youth Elite Male race, Caleb Ingham took 16th, Tate Frost 28th, Luke Craven 49th, Jacob Crouch 51st, Anderson Church 53rd, and Joshua Gray 63rd. In the Junior Elite Male race, Alex Tan took 30th and Justin Free 41st.
At the Sizzling Tri, there was both a sprint triathlon and kid’s race. In the kid’s race, Hazel Wells won the 11-15 division and Andrea Rogerson won the 6-10 division overall (male and female). Also in the 11-15 division, Sara Mihalovich took 2nd overall along with HT Tragle and Anneliese Rogerson 3rd overall. Annika Rogerson took 2nd in her age group, Aidan Williams 3rd, Avery Johnson 3rd, Jack Leon Guerrero 4th, Lucas Van Winckel 5th, Ginger St Louis 6th, Eva Mihalovich 9th, Mark Mihalovich 11th, and Harrison Tragle 11th.
In the Sizzling Tri Sprint Distance, Cashion Green took 4th overall (1st age group), Coach Kevin Mallon took 5th overall (1st age group), and Allan Ng 8th overall (1st age group). Cat Claman took 3rd overall women (1st age group). Anna Mihalovich took 1st and Hanna Renager 4th in their age groups.
Last weekend, Megan Buchanan swam PRs in the 800m and 1500m freestyles at the Speedo Southern Zone Sectional Championships at the University of Florida. She also raced this weekend in the long standing Sommer Sports Sprint Triathlon, in Clermont, FL and finished 2nd overall female and had the fastest swim split of any male or female. Way to go Megan!
At the Cul de Sac 5k #2, both Sarah Look and Monica Woodward represented Endorphin well! Great work ladies!
Raegan Canada, Maddie Fisher and Zach fisher had a great meets all with several PR’s at the Summer Awards Long Course Swim meet! Raegan also set two new league records in the Chesterfield Aquatics summer swim league.
At the Rip Roar Youth Tri, Eve Frost took first for the 10 year old girls.
Mike Thompson had a strong race in his first XTERRA tri and took 5th in his age group. Congrats Mike!
