Our Athlete of the Week this week is Kylie Bonser!
Kylie’s fitness journey began in 2nd grade when she began swimming with Poseidon. She continued with swimming until 5th grade, when she began enjoying running much more. She began coaching by Endorphin Fitness in August of 2016, about a year and three months ago when her dad heard about Endorphin Fitness from one of his customers.
Kylie runs many different race distances. She ran the 1 mile, 2 mile, 5k, and middle school cross-country distances, which are between 2.1 and 2.5. Kylie says that her favorite is the 1 mile in track, in addition to the 5k.
This upcoming track season, Kylie strives to break the 1 and 2 mile school record. Kylie says that since joining Endorphin Fitness she has been pushed to a limit she didn’t know she could reach. When considering her training, she says, “Coach Ryan made me believe I’m capable of much more than what I’ve ever thought.”
When it comes to beginners, Kylie has a straightforward piece of advice for them, “work hard, eat right, and set big, but achievable goals. Once you reach those goals, set new ones.”
