We had a jam-packed weekend of racing! One of our last major team races, Pleasant’s Landing, was this weekend with many of our athletes participating and posting strong races. We also had athletes racing in local high school race series, the Youth Oylmpic Games, and AG Draft Legal Nationals. Congrats to all our athletes who raced! Let’s get started,

Great high school cross country races for many of our athletes.  Josh Gray, Caroline Osenga, Alexandra Poole, Luke Craven, and Hope Frost all set PR paces with Alexandra taking the overall win in her race and Josh finishing first 8th grader at Mile Stat’s JV race.  At the same race, Colby Burcham grabbed 6th overall. Jake Schindel had a very strong race, coming within seconds of a PR. Connor Doyle, Connor Zebrowski, and Emily Merchant all had strong races.
At the Pleasant’s Landing triathlon, we had many athletes competing in both the Olmypic and Sprint distances. Results below:
Jax Bethel, Jack Martin, Dacid Knicely and Meredith Newcomb all completed the Olympic distance.  Jax Bethel took 1st in her category and Jack Martin took 2nd in his! Coach Kate Fisher snagged 3rd overall masters and 6th overall female. Aimee West took first in her age group, 8th overall female.
At the sprint distance, Matt Myers and Katherine Samsky grabbed huge PRs with Katherine coming in 3rd overall. Lee White took 3rd in his age group (after doing IMMD two weeks ago)! Coach Erin Horil took first overall women’s, and Alex Tan took 2nd overall on the men’s side!
Parker Albright finished out her Youth Olympic Games with a strong opening leg in the Mixed Team Relay.

At Ironman Louisville, Cort Kirkley was second in his age group, and Andrew Rose had a strong race, despite racing the Chicago Marathon just a week earlier.

At Toughman Tennessee, Alex Lienert won his age group. Laura Vance completed as well and took an outstanding 3rd place in her age group!!
At age group draft legal Nationals, Jennifer Zheng took 3rd in her AG and Sadé Smith took 7th in hers!
Lucille O’Niel won her division in the Huntsman World Games Cycling Race this week, which comprised of 4 events: 5k Hill Time Trial (2nd place), 20k Time Trial (3rd place), Criterium (1st place) and Road Race (1st place). Lucille overcame great challenges as she had not only moved into a harder division this year, but also battled a nasty head cold during the first half of her events! Way to persist!

At the Healthy Kids Run Series, in the pre-k division, Colby Harlow took 6th.  In the K-1st division, Oliver Harlow took 18th and Paxton Harlow 19th both.  Ellie Harlow took the win in the 2-3rd grade division.  In the 4-5th grade division, Andrea Rogerson took 1st, Hadley Harlow 2nd (PR), Austin Harlow 3rd, and Ariana Hotchfelder 13th (PR).  In the middle school division, Caleb Harlow took 1st with a PR on the boy’s side, and Hazel Wells took 1st with a PR followed by Anneliese Rogerson in 3rd on the girls side.

Congrats to all our athletes who raced!
