EF athletes continue to improve every week and take top honors in races across the country. Strong past week of racing at Kinetic Sprint / International Triathlons, AMYazing Kid’s Triathlon, Cap2Cap Ride, VAHS MTB Series Finale, Bryan Park Crit Series, and the Glen Allen Invitational.
Strong day for many EF athletes at the Kinetic Sprint and International Triathlon. In the Sprint, Abby Church took the overall win followed by Florence Lamirand in 5th (2nd age group) and Coach Kate Fisher in 7th overall (2nd masters). Matt Coleman was 1st in his age group followed by Anderson Church in 2nd and Scott Evans was 3rd in his age group. Lori Green also had a strong race taking 9th in her age group. At the International distance, Nancy Faux made her return to racing by winning her age group and posting a personal best run split. Lenora Mariner took a win in her age group, Dawn Cater took 2nd in hers, and Katie Letchworth had a strong race finishing 7th in her very competitive age group.
At the AMYazing Kids Tri, Lucas Van Winckel and Annalise Williams took 2nd in their age groups, Caden Madden took 7th, and Catherine Claman also took 7th!
Monica Woodward had a strong day at the Cap 2 Cap Half Century Ride.
At the VAHS MTB Series finale, Presley Evans clinched the Elementary School title and Coleson Lindsey clinched the Middle School title with wins on the final day. Jude Gillespie also took 7th in the elementary school division with a super strong race.
On Tuesday at the opening day of the Bryan Park Crit Series, the EF Junior Cycling Team had a strong day with Coleson Lindsey taking the top position on the team with a 4th in the B race. In the A race, Coach Jake King took top honors with a win and is now wearing the leader jersey.
Colby Burcham and Lauryn Nelson both ran huge PR’s and Hannah Lupica and Emily Whitty had strong races at the Glen Allen Invitational on Saturday.
