Big results this weekend from the Rev 3 Sizzling Tri, Alaskaman Extreme Triathlon, Tidewater Triathlon, Magog Triathlon, Cul de Sac 5k, and the Microbrewery 5k.
We took a large team to the Rev 3 Sizzling Tri which consisted of both an adult and youth triathlon. In the Sprint, Endorphin Fitness athletes claimed 4 of the top 10 spots on the men’s side with Coach Michael Harlow leading the way with the overall win followed by Ben Poling in 3rd, Coach Kevin Mallon in 5th, and Kai Dove in 8th. On the women’s side, we claimed 5 of the top 10 spots with Zoe Van Winckel in 2nd overall, Grace Sheehy 3rd, Alexandra Poole 5th, Lexi Christie 7th, and Marisa Ruotolo 9th. In the age groups, Alexandra Poole, Mary Jane Willis, and Kai Dove took 1st; Lexi Christie and Otto Gerstl 2nd; and Allan Ng 3rd. Also, strong races from Sarah Ruotolo, Anna Mihalovich, Jordan Pham, Keagan Carroll, Monica Woodward (big PR), Jessica Voss, Dawn Carter, and Kenny Steingold (3:00 PR over the May race!).
In the Kid’s Sizzling Triathlon which followed the adult tri, Kai Dove raced again taking 1st overall followed by Joshua Gray in 2nd on the boy’s 11-15 race. In the girl’s 11-15 race, EF swept with podium with Ava Larkin taking the win followed by Annalise Williams and Sarah Mihalovich. In the 10 & under race, Jude Gillespie won overall followed by Lucas Van Winckel on the boy’s side and Cori Johnson won overall on the girl’s side. In the age groups, Roman Steis, Caroline Osenga, Olivia Christie, and Avery Johnson all won their age groups; and Luke Craven, Isabel Larkin, and Elaina Crossing took 2nd. We also had very strong races by Mason Dove, Eva Mihalovich, Emma Weaver, Mark Mihalovich, Sophia Gerstl, and Brenan Young.
Chad Albright completed the Alaskaman Extreme Triathlon, the most challenging Iron-distance triathlon in North America, with a run course that includes over 5000 feet of climbing. Chad finished 14th overall out of more than 300 participants!
At the Tidewater Triathlon, Florence Lamirand took 2nd overall followed by Renee Kunnen in third overall. Also, Bill Deaton took second in his age group.
Nick Pilgrim and Caleb Ingham traveled to Canada to race the Magog which consists of a Aquathon Saturday morning, Duathlon Saturday evening, and Draft Legal Sprint Triathlon Sunday. Nick took 12th in the Aquathon, 8th in the Duathlon, and 9th in the Draft Legal Tri. Caleb took 19th in the Aquathon, 19th in the Duathlon, and 13th in the Draft Legal Tri.
Myles Baker and Melanie Frank had strong results at the Cul de Sac 5k on Monday and Coach Ryan Middleton took 2nd overall.
Brett Frazer had a great result at the Microbrewery 5k on Thursday evening.
At the MIller School Road Race which served as the state championship, Presley Evans took 2nd in the 11-12 category and father Scott Evans raced a strong first road race. Samantha Kayne took 1st in the 9-14 category claiming the state championship.
Also, we wanted to congratulate two results from last week’s results. Andrea Bovo finished 11th in his age group at Rev 3 Williamsburg Half Ironman and Coach Andrew Callihan took 2nd in his age group at the Rev 3 Williamsburg Olympic.
