Race Recap

Big weekend of XC races.  At the middle school division, Tomahawk Creek took home both girls and boys titles with Lucy Poh running strong, Jonathan Ryan finishing top 10, and Kylie Bonser taking the individual title.  At the regional cross country championships, Chase Brooksbank and Laine Mumford ran very well. Hannah Lupica, Colby Burcham, and Connor Doyle all advanced to the State Championships with strong performances all around.  Parker Albright, Cooper Albright, and Logan White ran strong races to help the Cave Spring girls advance to states with Parker winning the region and Cooper setting a PR.  At the private school regional, Emily Merchant ran extremely well for her team.  In Tennessee, Carson Everman posted a huge 30 second PR in the Tennessee State Championships to help her team take the title, and in Connecticut, Alexandra Poole ran a big 35 second PR to take 3rd in her league state champs.

Brian Walter had an amazing day at the New York City Marathon going sub 4 hours in his first marathon! What an accomplishment!

At the Across the Bay 10k, Susan Alexander executed beautifully and finished very well!

At the Battlefield Half Marathon, Jean Kleitz finished 1st in her age group and 4th overall. Way to go!

At Ed Sander Memorial CX, Florence Lamirand finished 5th overall in Cat 3, only 2 seconds out of 4th!  Presley Evans also raced strong taking 4th in the Junior 13-14 category, and Whit Evans won the Little Belgium race.
