We had a strong weekend of racing for our athletes. Races included the Applecross CX, the Philadelphia Half Marathon, the New England All-Star XC Meet, Ironman Arizona, Norfolk Harbor Half, and the JB Watkins 5k!
We had several juniors race the Applecross CX race in Winchester, Virginia. Sade Smith placed 1st and Keagan Carroll 3rd in Juniors 15-19. Presley Evans took 2nd in Juniors 13-14 boys. Ava Larkin and Emma Weaver raced Juniors 13-14 girls, placing 1st and 4th respectively. Florence Lamirand finished in an impressive 5th in the women’s Cat 3 race only weeks after moving up from Cat 4.
At the Philadelphia Half Marathon, Ivan Cheung persevered and finished with a PR! Way to go!
After qualifying for the New England All-Star XC Meet, Alexandra Poole raced with the top high school runners in New England. She put in work and had a super strong race finishing in 13th place!
Mike Fridley had a strong finish at Ironman Arizona, which was his second Ironman race of the year! Awesome job Mike!
Andrea Wright ran a strong half marathon at the Norfolk Harbor Half, coming in 14th place in her age group!
For some family rivalry, Maddie Fisher and Jim Fisher took 1st and 2nd overall at the JB Watkins 5k in Chesterfield.
