At the Wrightsville Beach Marathon, Tim Brown ran a big PR of 3:22 and qualified for Boston! Also, in the marathon, Tina Shiver finished an impressive 3rd in her age group! Scott Evans made his debut at the half marathon distance, running an impressive 1:36. In the Half Marathon at Wrightsville Beach, Monica Woodward and Kelly Britt both finished strong. In the Kid’s Mile, 11-year old Presley Evans ran away from the field to take the overall win with a time of 5:28!
At the Shamrock 8k and Half Marathon, Sarah Look grabbed another PR, along with strong results from Sam Robinson and Heather Williams. At the Shamrock 8k, Jonathan Ryan finished 3rd overall! Jackson and Andrea Wright also ran strong races. Danielle Sparkman had a breakthrough weekend –on Saturday she ran the 8k, executing a strong negative split and broke her 5k PR for the first 3.1 miles. te half marathon PR. Maggie Geoghegan also completed the double with strong results in both the 8k and half marathon!
At Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico, Andrew Rose had a solid race, bettering his time from 2016 on this course.
