We have several races to report on this week, including the Jamestown Olympic triathlon, Eagleman 70.3, the Corporate 5k, and several other triathlons as well as some running events. Congrats to all our athletes who raced! Let’s get started.
At the Jamestown Sprint, the EF relay team of Parker Albright, Presley Evans, and Cooper Albright took the overall win in the relay category by a large margin.
Lucille O’Neill competed in the Armed Forces Cycling Classic and achieved the gold standard by completing 9 laps (59.5 miles) of the course, averaging 22.4 mph!
In the local Thursday evening sprint tri series, Kieran Haug took the overall win with an impressive race start to finish.
At the XC Caitlin Bermuda National Championships, Nick Pilgrim and Caleb Ingham went 1-2 with an impressive margin in the youth category.
Asa Mazow had two strong finishes this week at the Corporate 5k, and the Boxer Brief 5k!
At the Corporate 5k at West Creek, Jim Fuller ran a strong negative split, and Maggie Geoghegan took 2nd in her division!
Christian Locke competed in the Jamestown Sprint Triathlon. He had a strong all around race, most notably being the second out of the water and finished second in his age group!
At the Jamestown Olympic, Chad Albright was seventh overall and second in the masters division. Scott Evans was fourth in his age group, posting a new PR for the Olympic distance. Laura Cordes took 1st place in her AG, and Jessica Small took 2nd place in her AG! Emily Kontos placed 4th in her age group. Kristopher Scott also competed in the Jamestown Olympic, throwing down a strong bike split!
At Ironman 70.3 Eagleman, Tim Brown was 4th in his age group with a new PR of 4:43, and David Fouse had a strong race.
At the Escape the Cape triathlon, Mike Thompson got 3rd in his AG and 16th overall in his first ever triathlon! Very impressive start to his season!
