We’ve got a holiday special- two weeks of race results, and then some! With only one EF athlete racing the week before Christmas, and most races this last weekend falling on Tuesday, January 1, we’re covering many race days in one post! Congrats to all our athletes who raced over the holidays. Let’s get started!
Over the weekend preceding Christmas, December 22nd- 23rd, we had one EF athlete competing. Hope Frost had a strong indoor track meet taking 2nd place in the 1600 and finishing strong in the 200.
For New Year’s weekend of December 29th-January 1st, we had several races including several “first day” races on Tuesday, January 1.
Allan Ng had a super strong race at the Pacer’s New Year’s Eve 4 Miler setting a course PR.
At the Swim RVA New Year’s Eve challenge, Meredith Newcomb completed 6600 yards and Lenora Mariner completed 6500 yards!
In the First Day 1k Kid’s Race , strong races from Victor Oleson (2nd boy), Ellie Harlow (1st girl), Austin Harlow (3rd girl), Ariana Hotchfelder, Paxton Harlow, Oliver Harlow, Mya Harlow, Jaxon Johnson, and Colby Harlow.
At the First Day 5k, we had strong races from EF staff including coach Ryan Middleton taking 2nd overall with a time of 15:55, and EF marketing manager Nick Seitz placing 3rd in his age group. Our youth and juniors also had a ton of awesome results, including Josh Gray, Eloise deLandevoisin Campbell, and Caroline Osenga taking 1st in their age groups; Holden Valerie taking 2nd, and Alex Tan 3rd. In addition, we had strong races from Luke Craven, Daniel Brishke, Caleb Harlow, Patrick Harlow, Hadley Harlow, Cannen Harlow, Matthew Estes, Emory Allen, and Anna Estes.
Our adults also had some strong races at the 1st day 5k! Johanna Lupica took 3rd overall. Laura Vance finished 3rd in her age group and Cheryl Shaw finished 1st in her age group! Tina Shiver, Myles Baker, and Nina Marino all crushed their goals for the day. John Clarke And Danielle Sparkman finished strong. Sandrine Thominet, Meredith Newcomb, Lenora Mariner, Austin McDaniel, Charlotte McDannald, Morgan Sears, Ben Shaw, Mickie Fleming, Mary Jane Willis, and Matt Myers all had very strong result as well.
